Hestu's Happy Dance

Hestu’s Happy Dance is named after a character from the Legend of Zelda series, Hestu, who is a forest-dwelling, tree-like being known as a “Korok.” Hestu will take korok seeds from the player and in exchange in exchange for increasing their inventory carrying capacity. To work his forest magic, Hestu says some silly words and does a silly little dance!

This piece challenges players with syncopated rhythms and part independence. Special care should be taken to play all of the marked accents, but to also keep them light enough to maintain the dance-like nature of the music. Most importantly, make sure you’re having fun! SHALAKA!
